EU energy citizen study

The EU energy citizen study was prepared with Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace and the European Federation for Renewable Energy cooperatives ( (commissioned to CE Delft). The research outlines the potential for citizen-owned renewable energy projects in Europe, where 264 million “energy citizens” could generate 45% of the European Union’s electricity needs by 2050 – if good political and legal frameworks are in place. The link to the study on CE Delft’s site – – will work from Monday onwards, and has the report and full results spreadsheet (including graphs for each EU Member State).
